Concept study / Fitted cabinetry
Rowan & Rail
The room comes first.
Fictional business. Imagined brief. Original illustrations.
No client relationship or measured business results.

01 / The brief
Start with the business.
We imagined a cabinetmaker fitting storage into lived-in rooms. In the fictional old-site brief, a flat gallery treated every cabinet as a separate product. It left out the awkward corner, the daily habit and the room that made each piece necessary.
02 / The angle
A place for everything.
The cabinet is a response to the room. Show the proportions, then the handle, then the way the pieces belong together. The design should carry that same sense of fit.
03 / The decisions
Nothing here by accident.

Cormorant Garamond
Cormorant Garamond has the fine joints and soft curves of a drawn furniture detail. A restrained italic gives one phrase room to turn. The body text stays plain, with generous space around it.

Colour from the material.
Warm paper, oak brown and a small brass note come from the imagined timber and hardware. Brown type on the pale ground feels close to a material sample on a studio table.
A layout that belongs.
The Atelier family pairs a tall framed cabinet study with an open headline. The sequence moves from fitted storage to a small detail, then returns to the whole room. Space is part of the composition.
The image sequence.
Original vector illustrations make the proportions and joinery readable without borrowing a real cabinetmaker’s projects. For a live business, the sequence would use a permitted room view, hardware detail and contrasting finished installation, shot in consistent daylight.
04 / The result
The whole front door.
A warm, measured front door that explains a fitted approach before asking about a room. This is an illustrated concept, with no real client, testimonial or measured commercial result.

A small screen.
The same idea.
The phone is a complete layout of its own. The headline, image order and contact route keep the same direction.
